The Annual 5K/10K is planned for the morning of September 1 beginning at 9 am in front of The Lodge.  This fun event has been taking place in Kirkwood each Labor Day weekend for 37 years.   Presented by the Kirkwood Volunteer Fire Department, the 10K trail adventure run follows a single track and a dirt road 3 miles up the mountain to an elevation of 8,500 feet.  The 5K loops the gorgeous Thunder Saddle meadow.  Gather your family and friends and register online now by visiting kmpud.com after July 10.  Race day registration takes place from 8:00 – 8:45 am at The Lodge. The Kids’ race kicks off at 9 am with the 5K and 10K to follow. Net proceeds from the event benefit the Kirkwood Volunteer Fire Department.
