East Meadows

East Meadows

Childhood Unleashed. (And other small advantages of small town living). In some ways, it almost seems as if the time passes more slowly in Kirkwood. This is still a place where kids can head out the door and go exploring until the next meal draws them back home. There are no busy streets. It’s easy to find your way around. And the people are friendly. We've heard a number of Kirkwood residents say they feel closer to their neighbors here then back home. Maybe it’s because everybody comes for the same reason—to get outdoors and experience one of the last stretches of true Sierra wilderness. It’s a passion that colors everything here. It makes Kirkwood feel… real. And brings people together. Like distant family meeting each other for the first time.
